Hurley and her Indian tycoon hubby win the prize for being the most frivolous with their money. First off was a £2million bash for 247 people at a 15th century castle in Gloucestershire. Guests, including Donatella Versace and Elle Macpherson, were treated to a five-course Henry VIII-themed meal served by liveried footmen. And it was all rounded off with a Bollywood movie starring the happy couple. Four make-up artists and three hairdressers were on hand to make sure the 41-year-old model looked perfect on her big day. Then it was off to a 548-year-old palace in Rajasthan for a three-day Hindu celebration!

Taste and temperance were thrown out of the window at this showbiz bash. Jordan pitched up in a Cinderella-style carriage, sporting a Barbie pink gown covered in thousands of Swarovski crystals and a foot high crown. Among the 300 guests knocking back pink champagne were the likes of Gazza, Big Brother's Orlaith and Vanessa Feltz. After walking down the aisle to the warblings of Whitney Houston, Jordan's four bridesmaids had to help her sit down in her enormous dress. The couple rounded off the evening in the bridal suite scoffing crisp sandwiches - class!

Nobody told Drew that you're not supposed to drink before the wedding. The former child star got a little carried away on cocktails on a visit to her local bar in 1994. Before she had a chance to fall off her stool, she'd agreed to marry Jeremy Thomas, the Welsh bartender, with the couple tying the knot that very night. Unsurprisingly, the marriage only lasted five weeks - still that's longer than Britney Spears' first marriage!

This celebrity wedding certainly befitted an ex 'Baywatch' babe. She wore a white bikini, he wore a baseball cap and it all took place on a boat in St Tropez. 'It was a big mistake but I was in St Tropez - I would have married the fisherman on the corner!' Pammy later told one radio show - nice. But the nuptials weren't nearly as nutty as the wedding she held for her dogs a year earlier - that beach-side ceremony was gatecrashed by none other than Sacha Baron Cohen's alter ego Borat. He pitched up astride an inflatable turtle and rugby-tackled poor Pammy. Still, what did she expect would happen at a wedding ceremony for dogs?!

She may be loaded but the singing star Britney was counting every penny at her celebrity wedding to dancer Keving Federline. The wedding party wore tracksuits labelled 'pimps' and 'maids' and guests were treated to a pay bar. It was her second wedding in nine months. Of course, we all know how this doomed marriage turned out!
Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney
She is an A-list actress, he's a country crooner - it was the prequel to Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. She wore a stunning Carolina Herrera gown to their quickie 15-minute beachside wedding, and he wore a Stetson.
